Mentor-Mentee Program

Pair up with a mentor, or become one yourself.

The BHSA's mentor-mentee program's purpose is to ease the transition from high school into university life, in aspects such as classes, student clubs, activities and social life, among other things. It is BHSA's hope that a special relationship can be built between the mentors and their mentees so that if a freshman needs help of any kind, his or her mentor can be there for guidance.

Community Service

Give back to the community by organizing and planning events.

This year the community service committee will work hard to become actively involved in the local community. Projects such as Philly Cares Day and a local tutoring program are two of the many ways BHSA volunteerism influences the community surrounding Temple. In addition to these events, BHSA will help make the holidays enjoyable for the less fortunate by volunteering at a soup kitchen and donating Toys during the Christmas season. The success of BHSA's community service committee is entirely dependant on the involvement of its members. With the help of everyone, BHSA has the potential to influence the local community in many positive ways.

Fundraising Committee

Help support BHSA financially.

The BHSA Fundraising Committee is a great outlet for current and prospective members to get involved. Our committee was designed to help finance the social, cultural, and educational events that BHSA assembles throughout the year. Fundraising activities that we organize have a reputation for being creative and fun. We are unique from other groups in that our schedule of events is entirely dictated by our committee members. The fundraising officers' job is to take lead in helping our members' ideas become a reality.

Social Committee

Mingle with fellow BHSA members at our monthly cultural dinners and social events.

The BHSA Social Committee is a fun way to mix and mingle with other fellow BHSA members. Through our monthly cultural dinners, open gyms, paintballing, amusement parks, and various other activities we enjoy what the Philadelphia area has to offer. Through fundraising we are also able to offer discounts to our members at most of our socials.

Banquet Committee

Help plan the annual BHSA banquet.

Every year, BHSA hosts its annual banquet, a festive event in which we recognize members, faculty and officers. We offer our members an opportunity to take part of the planning commitee for this event.
